BlixterReviews

We buy the cleaning gear, beat it up for weeks, and tell you the truth.

Blixter Reviews is an independent consumer publication. We purchase home-cleaning machines with our own money, test each one against the same checklist, and publish the findings — so you can decide before you spend a dollar. No crews, no installs, no sales pitch. Just reviews.

Cordless vacuums
Score 8.6 / 10

The cordless stick vacuum that finally handled pet hair

We ran it daily for six weeks across hardwood, low-pile rug and a stair runner with two shedding dogs in the house. Suction held up on a full bin; the brush roll tangled less than we expected. Where it slips and who it isn't for, inside.

Steam mops

Steam mop face-off: sealed hardwood, tile and luxury vinyl

Three popular steam mops, one greasy kitchen floor, and a moisture meter. We timed heat-up, measured leftover dampness, and checked whether the pads actually lifted dried-on grime or just pushed it around. One clear winner, one to skip.

Best carpet shampooer for stairs and high-traffic hallways

We stained identical carpet squares with coffee, red wine and muddy paw prints, let them set 24 hours, then cleaned with each machine. Drying time, stain lift and how awkward each one is on a staircase — all scored the same way.

Robot vacuum under $300: does the budget pick map your house?

We mapped a 1,400 sq ft single-story home, tracked missed spots, and counted how often it got stuck on a transition strip. Good enough for daily upkeep — but here's the honest limit of the cheaper laser nav.

Enzyme cleaners for pet odor, ranked after a month of real messes

We tested five enzyme sprays on the same set of accidents and used a black light to check what was actually gone versus just masked. Two genuinely neutralized odor; the rest faded fast.

How we test

Every product on Blixter Reviews is bought at retail with our own money. We don't accept free units, and we don't keep or resell what we test. Our scoring is the same for everything we cover.

1. Buy itWe purchase the product at normal retail, anonymously, like any shopper would.
2. Live with itWe use it in a real home for a minimum of six weeks across multiple surfaces and messes.
3. Score itSame checklist every time: cleaning power, ease of use, noise, maintenance, value.
4. Publish itWe write up exactly what we found — including who the product is wrong for.

About Blixter Reviews

Blixter Reviews is published by Cleaning Plus Janitorial Services LLC, an active Florida limited liability company based in Panama City Beach. The name comes from the company's origins, but today the business is a consumer review publication: we test home-cleaning equipment and supplies and publish independent, hands-on findings for U.S. readers. We are not a cleaning service and we do not sell the products we review.

We believe a review is only worth reading if the people writing it actually used the thing. That's why we buy everything ourselves, test it for weeks, and tell you plainly when something isn't worth the money. Have a question or a product you'd like us to test? Email us at editor@blixter.shop.
